Claude "Gene" Eugene Hall

Born July 10, 1929, in Campbell County, he was a son of the late James Claude Hall and Lenora Bell Miller Hall Molnar. He was predeceased by his first wife, Edna Virginia Slusser Hall; a son, Larry Douglas Hall; one grandchild, Kenneth Wayne Roach, Jr.; and a sister, Emma Lee Hall Nichols. Mr. Hall was member at the Altavista Church of Christ, was a former Supervisor at the Lane Company and latter worked as a crossing guard for Campbell County Schools. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dog, Toby.  He is survived by three daughters, Patsy H. Dalton of Hurt, Gloria H. Godfrey and husband, Alan, of Gretna and Jo Ann Hall of Gretna; his wife, Mary Agnes Oakes Hall of Altavista; a step-son, Tommy Oakes of Florida; a step-daughter, Amy Conner of Hurt; two half brothers, James H. Bane and wife, Sheila, of Evington and Bobby Bane and wife, Dawn, of St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend and neighbor, Robert Spearing.Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, at Altavista Church of Christ by Larry Evans, Minister and Lory Brafford, Minister. Burial with military honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232 will follow at Altavista Memorial Park.The family received friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, November 20, at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times were at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Alan Godfrey, 2168 Derby Road, Gretna.Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna assisted the family.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.colbertmoran.com.
